Seminar “The influence of climate variability on internal migration flows in South Africa”

Dr Marina Mastrorillo will be visiting BiT in January. On Wednesday 17/01 she will be giving a seminar on “The influence of climate variability on internal migration flows in South Africa” (Venue: Unitelma Sapienza, Viale Regina Elena 291 – ground floor; Time: 2:00 p.m.).

Marina Mastrorillo is a Consultant within the Migration, Agriculture and Food Security Programme at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Her research focuses on the linkages between climate change, agricultural land-use and human migration patterns. Before joining FAO, she completed postdoctoral research at Princeton University. She holds a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Bari, a M.Sc. in Development Economics from the University of Sussex and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Foggia.
