The Future of Biorefineries in Europe
The Bioeconomy in Transition Research Group (BiT-RG) has organized a workshop on the future of biorefineries in Europe.
The workshop will take place in the city of Gela (Sicily) where ENI is going to convert its well known refinery in a biorefinery.
The BiT Research Group has taken this opportunity as a case study.
The workshop will focus on the conversion of a site in crisis, but complying with the local territory.
Could it happen by creating, at the same time, long-term social and economic benefits, besides environmental ones?
